Richard W. Whittemore has resided in the Norfolk / Virginia Beach area of Tidewater all of his life and has been actively practicing law since 1981. After practicing with a larger firm for nine years, he opened his own office in 1990. His broad legal experience covers a wide range of legal issues, but with a primary focus on personal injury, business and real estate matters. Our firm prides itself on being conscientious, thoughtful and prepared and capable of advising and representing clients from all walks of life. Successful planning, transactions and litigation rarely occur in a vacuum and many cases require or involve other professionals such as doctors, accountants, contractors, surveyors, engineers, investigators and the like. Richard’s lifelong residency in the area provides him access to resources and contacts that many other attorneys do not have, and which can be of great help in resolving problems in an economical and timely fashion.
